About Us

We aspire to see the streets of Fort Worth saturated with the glory of Christ, bringing a taste of heaven to our earthly community. We long to see the kingdom come in Fort Worth as it is in Heaven.

Southside Fellowship was born from a deep calling to foster a community where every individual is seen and valued. Founded on the conviction that the gospel transforms lives, we seek to establish a vibrant congregation in the heart of Fort Worth's southside.

Our journey began with a simple question: Why plant a church? Through prayerful reflection, we discovered a profound truth, it's not merely about filling a need, but about following Jesus where he is leading. Our vision is to cultivate a place where diversity is celebrated, where every household finds a seat at the table, both figuratively and literally.

With a commitment to sharing meals and sharing the gospel, we aspire to see the streets of Fort Worth saturated with the glory of Christ, bringing a taste of heaven to our earthly community. Join us as we embark on this missional endeavor together. Welcome to Southside Fellowship.

The Hixon family

Meet Pastor Caleb and the Hixons

Caleb and Olivia have been married since 2015. They have three kids: Mackie, Henry, & MJ. Caleb went to high school here in Fort Worth and graduated from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary with his Masters in Theology.

Our Core Values

Follow Jesus

The central message throughout the gospels is Jesus's call to “follow me”. This is an all of life call. To live like Jesus, do as he did, and become like him.

Spirit Filled & Formed

We are called to worship Jesus in Spirit & Truth. We will be a people who are led by the Spirit & live out our Spiritual Gifts. At the same time we will be formed by the Spirit through our Spiritual Habits.

Table Fellowship

Jesus lived his life around a table. We believe the table is key to community, hospitality, and evangelism. Our groups will fit around a table. We will invite our neighbors to our table. And we will disciple our families at the table.
